XDA Senior Member chenxiaolong originally created the dual boot patcher project for the Qualcomm-based Samsung Galaxy S4. This project patches the secondary ROM installation script and boot image to allow it to be loaded from an alternate location, retaining your original ROM and thus setting up dual boot. Now, this feature is available for the Moto Z Play as well.
