Moto X4 Approved for Sale in Brazil, Live Pictures Available

Devices like the Galaxy Note 8 and LG V30 have been getting a lot of attention lately, but some Motorola fans have been looking forward to the upcoming release of the Moto X4. We first saw details of this device back in May of this year when a photo claimed to reveal some details about it. The image said it would have a metal and glass build, a "smart camera," IP68 water and dust resistant, AI integration, and always-on voice capabilities.

This wasn't much to go on, but it was all we had heard about the device until then. With Motorola not releasing a Moto X in 2016, this started to pique the interest of some within the community. Then at the tail end of June it was rumored that the Moto X4 could be the mysterious "mid-tier" device that the Project Fi team said would be released this year with support for their network. This is interesting because up until now, it was only devices from Google which were able to be used on the Project Fi network.

Then a about a week later Evan Blass revealed what his sources told him would be the hardware specs of the upcoming Moto X4. If true, we're looking at a smartphone with a Snapdragon 630 SoC, up to 4GB of RAM, a 5.2″ display, 64GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, an 8MP/12MP camera combo on the back, 16MP camera on the front with a 3,000mAh capacity battery to power the whole thing. This definitely did seem to line up with rumors from the Project Fi team as well as the IP68 water resistance claim.

This week, we're seeing that the device is going through the certification process so it can be sold to the public. It looks like Motorola is getting ready to launch the device soon as it has now been approved for sale in the country of Brazil.
