Update 6/14/18: LG has revealed details regarding the pricing in South Korea and plans for selling the phone internationally. The article below has been amended with this new information.
We all know that the G series is LG's current flagship line with it being released during the first half of the year. The LG G7 was announced earlier this month, and now the company has introduced an update to their low-end Q series of smartphones that they are currently trying to build brand reputation and recognition. They announced the Q6, Q6+, and the Q6α last year in July. We're a couple of months early compared to last year, but LG has just announced their successors as the LG Q7, LG Q7+ and the LG Q7α.
Last year the LG Q6 series was rocking the Snapdragon 435 SoC, and while they still might be using a Qualcomm chipset, it's actually going unnamed in this announcement information. All we are told here is that the LG Q7 series will have an octa-core SoC which can reach speeds of 1.5GHz or 1.8GHz depending on the model. One of the features that is staying from last year, though, is the FullVision display, as all three of these smartphones will be equipped with an 18:9 FHD+ panel capable of 2160 x 1080 pixels.
The LG Q7 will cost 495,000 won (~$455) while the LG Q7 Plus will cost 570,000 won (~$524). Pricing has yet to be revealed for the LG Q7a. The three smartphones will be released in Europe in June followed by some markets in Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
