I just got the new Android Lollipo 5.1 update on my Iris X1 phone..And I love it. All I had to do was just download the FOTA package and upgraded the phone and it was good to go! With the simple update my life has also been made easy. My phone got super-fast and quite responsive. The battery backup got has seen some quite an improvement now.
All I had to do was----
• Go to Menu, then Settings, then choose About Phone and then select Software Update.
• Choose the download option to get it started.
• After downloading it go to the install option.
However there were some preconditions that I had to adhere to get ithis update easily:
• Create at least 700 MB of space in the memory card
• Connect it to a wifi
• Battery should be more than 50%
• Take a back-up of my data
• Properly insert the memory card
