It’s been a busy year for Samsung as the company continues to bring One UI 2.5 to its vast portfolio of devices. With the holidays just around the corner, Samsung is spreading some cheer by releasing the update to the Galaxy A70 and Galaxy A50s.
It wasn’t long ago when Samsung brought One UI 2.5 to the Galaxy A51, and now that same love is being shown to the Galaxy A50s, according to SamMobile. The update carries the firmware A507FNXXU5CTK3 for the device in Vietnam. The update for Samsung’s device also includes the latest November 2020 security patch. While the update is only available on a limited basis, expect it to roll out to more markets soon.
In addition to rolling out for the Galaxy A50s, Samsung has also released One UI 2.5 for the Galaxy A70, according to SamMobile. It carries firmware A705FNXXU5CTK4 and also includes the November 2020 security patch, just like the Galaxy A50s. Unfortunately, the update is only available for Galaxy A70 owners in Ukraine on the mobile network Kyivstar. We can expect it to be available to more users across the globe as the days and weeks go on.
If you’re unfamiliar with Samsung’s One UI 2.5 update, it introduces new Samsung Keyboard features, including split keyboard support in landscape mode, as well as improvements to Messages. Regarding improvements to Messages, users will be able to send SOS location-sharing messages every 30 minutes for 24 hours should they find themselves in an emergency situation.
While Samsung has been working to bring One UI 2.5 to more devices, the company is also continuing to develop One UI 3.0, which is currently in beta for some of its more recent flagship devices. For a breakdown of what One UI 3.0 has to offer, check out this post.
